I want to delete my yahoo mesenger on a mac but it says its locked and cannot be deleted how do i unlock it?

i keep moving the icons to the trash but it keeps telling me that it is locked and cannot be deleted how do i get into the preferenced or something to unlock it and delete it

In Finder open Applications folder and select the application's icon.


I assume you got this far to drag the icon to the trash.


But before dragging it, and while it is still selected, go to the 'File' menu and choose 'Get Info'.


The information pane opens and there is a check box marked 'Locked'.


Uncheck it and trash the app.
