I have just been speaking to a guy in iraq on yahoo mesenger.?

how can i make the link clearer, im on a laptop and although i can hear him and he can see/hear us it is difficult to understand,(aint technology wonderfull)

Nothing much you can do about it really. I have friends in Burma and face the same problem which is that the state decides whom and for how long communication is allowed. All connections are monitored (presumably for subversive activity) and most Western websites are blocked. The quality is entirely in the hands of your friend's service provider and lets face it, the equipment may be crude and well out of date compared to what we are used to. I experience breaks in communication frequently and just have to put up with it. Video is a waste of time as it takes up too much bandwidth at the other end.
