You can do that on Window's live (MSN) messenger tho.

Also, psychiatrics will never admit that they would need a degree in string theory to begin to understand what causes our emotions and the effect our emotions have on our being.

You need not change the Messenger.As changing the messenger will not solve the problem.
Are you using window blinds or alien guise or some other window enhancement program? e.g. programs that add extra buttons like transparency and keep always on top or change the look of the windows in anyway (not including standard XP themes)
if so disable it and yahoo should work.

This is sometimes a flash issue, make sure you have download and installed flash from Internet explorer (not any other browser)

Reply:I"m not really sure why u are "right" clicking...just "left click" on your username...then left click on your password. type it then click sign in...if this works then u can have it all done automatically for u...just click on all the auto stuff before u sign on next time.

Best to start at the manufacture of your audio device. See if there are new drivers to support it. If not I hate to say that you're out of luck.

So what I do...I ALT+CTRL+DEL it several times until it lets me in. Apparently, it ever fails me when I do this.

you can run two or more versions of yahoo messenger independently, this means you launch one version via the Yahoo icon as you normally would and login an ID, then you return back to the Yahoo icon, and single/double click to launch another instance of Yahoo Messenger which you can us to login another default ID. Version 8 supports this easily with a registry change, prior versions will require a new/modified version of the main exe file.

Add them to your ignore list under "Messenger" then to "Preferences" and choose the "Ignore list" tab

you can run two or more versions of yahoo messenger independently, this means you launch one version via the Yahoo icon as you normally would and login an ID, then you return back to the Yahoo icon, and single/double click to launch another instance of Yahoo Messenger which you can us to login another default ID. Version 8 supports this easily with a registry change, prior versions will require a new/modified version of the main exe file.

After you get logged into yahoo messenger look up at the top of it you will see Messenger , Contacts, Actions ,Help. Click on messenger then down about half way click on Yahoo! Chat and then Join room.
That will open a new window with all the chat room categories which will be on the left side and the room listings will be on the right side.
Lets say you want to go to a music room? you just find Music on the left side and click on it that will make all the available music rooms show up on the right side. Then maybe you want to try one of the Rock rooms,so just click on the little + sign and that will expand and show all the rooms that are under Rock. Double click on which ever room you want to go into.
A small window will pop up with some numbers and letters that is called the captcha screen, fill it out and hit enter. If for some reason that don't show up just look up at the top of the chat room window and you will see a big long blue colored link, click on that and it will open a web page captcha screen for you to fill out, fill it in hit enter or whatever it is and you will be officially in a chat room.
If you want to change rooms just hit the Chat button at the top of the room window and repeat the selection process and join another room.

Delete your messenger application completely off your computer then go download it again. It is what I had to do so just delete fully and re-download and there you go.

Total PC crash after installing mesenger ver. 8?
After installing V8 of yahoo messenger my PC won't even boot in safe mode!!! the bootup just goes in circles. Gives me the options to boot in safe mode, with networking etc. I am running XP Home on a HP 2.93 gig processor pentium 4 Sometimes the XP boot screen shows the it goes to the options screen. saying that there was a hardware /sortware problem. I know it's messenger !!!!!!! any ideas ppl

If you can boot up to safe mode then first thing is to uninstall that software, doing repair would be complicated unless you know what to repair. And going back to system restore would not guarantee that all of your data be saved, unless you set up restore point prior to installing the software.

then do a system restore. When booting into safe mode it may stop for a few minutes but just wait it out it will eventually boot up. If you can't get into safe mode then try doing a repair with your system disk.

First, you should make sure that you aren't losing your internet connection.. whether it be wireless or hard wired... check to make sure you're connected to the internet. If all is well there, it may be due to someone using a booter program on your sn to do a silent disconnect. Nothing much you can do there besides sign up for a new sn and start all over. Make sure that only people you are comfortable with has it and wouldn't try to boot you. Sometimes it can just be plain old yahoo itself... imagine that!!!
